I bought a piece of drift log from a local aquarium store. Now my water is constantly yellow. I've tried changing the water every 2 weeks. I have a wet/dry filter in a 60 gallon tank. Is there anything out there that can get rid of the yellow?

the yellow thing in ur water is natural. Almost all driftwood will release tannins into ur water. Most people soak their wood in a bucket or sumthin for a couple of weeks to try to get as much of the tanin out of the wood as possible. The tannins (yellow) will only last for a certain amount of time. So dont be worried its a natural thing it will go away sumtime. I have a 4 month old piece of driftwood in my tank still floating at the top but most of the tannins are already out of the wood so my water color is natural now.(clear)

Can putting carbon in the filter help clean the water faster?
