Dragonfly Carapace in my Gym Tera tank?

What is this? It’s on the Water Hyacinth Leaf.

Looks like a dragon fly, as the nymph emerges to the flying stage it leaves behind its skin.

Gym Tera is far easier to write

By the size of it I'd say a damselfly. I used to collect the shells left behind from the dragonflies and damselflies in my pond.

check the tank to make sure it isn't still in there. they are predators and will eat small fish and shrimp

If it left that shell behind it's outside the tank flying around somewhere. But there might be other brother/sister nymphs still in the tank.

Since the tank is heavily planted, I will not be able to spot them easily, though I do watch this tank for an hour a day, so will look out. There are Platy and mosquito fish fry in there, and most fish are an inch to an inch and a half. I’m ok if they eat the fry
