This month, one of thier (Practical Fish Keeping) experts has reccommended a dozen for a 24"x12"x15" :S thats almost one per gallon (about 15imp Gallons).

That can't be good, I have always gone with 1 per 5 gallons, anyone had success with larger numbers?

Jon

 I thought they always gave accurate advice! :grr:

Hmph. I am going to have to find somewhere where I can get my hands on a copy. Any suggestions?

WHSmiths's usually keep it, spose most big newsagents would.

And, there are a few answers that are a little errr, shall we say, off IMO.

Nope, no luck with bigger numbers ... I couldnt even pull off 3 in a 15G because 1 male in their was simply way too aggressive!! And a week ago I had to put a divider in my 15G (left with 2 puffers in it) because my small female never came out anymore ... when she did she'd get chased right away ... my male would actually look through the whole bloody tank to find her all the time!

Blah ... an article that needs to be re-written if you ask me.

I keep 5 in a 20gal. Every time I tried to add more they disappear or turn up dead. a dozen is definitely too many....

Yeah I know shocker innit lol. I been away

That's crazy! A dozen. Maybe they don't know that a dozen is 12.
