DP'S and apple snails

Hi,

I asked about clean up crew for my DP tank and decided to try apple snails and ottos.

Ottos are doing fine, but apple snails not.I saw one of "the assorted small Crachetts" go for the snails.I looked later and the poor little b****r had no eye stalks .I moved him and his friend to another tank.Sir warned me this might happen.

I thought I had better pass this experience on.Ottos have been in tank for 3 weeks snails just a couple of days

My SAP tank is also my apple snail breeding tank, some baby's are puffer food, but they soon grow, thats ME with them. Bigger snails get put in my F8 or GSP tank, and I still have hundreds of them.

Hi,
these were big snails if you look at my pic posted in members aquarium you will see!

I feel really mean cos I didn't think it would happen with the being so big

The eyestalks should grow back if the water's clean and the fungus doesn't get 'em.
