I lost a Corydoras yesterday and have only one left from a batch I bought about four years ago. Is this a reasonable lifespan for a Cory?

Do a search here as there are a few old threads about cory lifespan ranging from 3/4 years to 8/10 years

Forgot about the search. Just done it and it seems my Corys have probably run their course. Will definitely get more, they are always so active.

A cory is probably nearing the end at 4 years. My oldest cories are my C. hastatus and they have been in my tank about that long. They were wild caught so I have no idea how old they really are. I should probably start watching them for signs that they are failing.

I've got three bronze cories that I have had since the beginning of 2007... So five and a half years old and still going strong. Only ever had the three, no losses.
