I have a 150gal (~560-570 liter) tank and have been doing EI for a while now. It's been working great, but I quickly stopped mixing solutions for N,P, and K because I found it much easier to just to add the chemicals dry directly to the tank due to the relatively large volumes involved. I was wondering if anyone has every done this with a trace formula, or if this is asking for trouble. Also how much would you suggest I add? I have been dosing 35 - 40mL of trace (Plantex CSM +B) solution every other day but am now coming to the end of the gallon of solution I made up and cannot find the recipe I used to back calculate the actual amount of chemical I was adding when I dosed.

Any help would be much appreciated

Carl

i think this calculator will tell you how much dry to mix with water to get your desired amount to dose..i usually mix mine up to dose 1ppm per 1ml dosed.if that makes sense :/
download it and it will ask for tank size and other info..

of this is the one..i have the link at home..

Yeah, I use this calculator for dosing N, P, and K. Is there a way to calculate the trace elements with this?

I mix 9g approx 1 tablespoon of trace element mix with 500ml of distilled water,i think 1ml = 1 ppm thats for 100l i think. I`m sure someone will correct me if im wrong, dont know about adding it dry though

With THIS link you should definatly be able to work it out to suit your needs, as a basic guideline 1 tablespoon of CSM+B weighs 13.6 grams and you need 2 tablespoons if you are making up a 500ml solution so 27.2 grams in total, the rest of the math i will leave to you.
