Dont Forget Your Heater

all i can say is thank God i dont have livestock yet, yesterday when filling the tank during backwards and forward trips to the lfs i was using my older unreliable spare heater (it overheats) to heat the water, once the water was in and up to temp i switched to my new reliable heater........nob, plugged it in and didnt flick the switch. a valuable lesson learned and if ever there was a right time to learn it, it was now

That reminds me of the time I shorted out most of the house, because I forgot to cover a plug when doing a water change

I was moving the heater from the main tank to the sump and dropped the plug in the water!
Glad I had a spare heater!
And last night I dropped one end of my light in the water (its was off) and now it won't work!
