While I fully agree with not over feeding fish and a fast being good for them, nobody told my fish. Yesterday was their day to do without....I entered me fish room that evening to find the main tank completely uprooted and overturned.:X All plastic plants were knocked over and/or dug out of the gravel, the java moss turned upside down (I know because it's growing around a plastic plant and THAT was upside down), and only one very small live plant escaped this insane "I'm hungry and I'm digging for food mode." It looked like a bulldozer had been on a rampage. Anybody got any tiny signs in fish language that I can post in my main tank which the cories and mollies could read telling them it's good for them to abstain? That self control is a virtue?

Yeah, I really suspect the cories mainly, a couple of them are big enough to do it. Wittle wascals! So I had to replant the tank last night. Oh fun, oh joy....silly fishies! :fun:

wow ive never known fish do that before
well thats one nil to your fish me thinks.

When I first read your post I thought you meant that the fish tank had been knocked over!

How often do you fast your fish for or do you feed them once every other day?

I don't have too many objects in the tank they can dig up and the few they can generally take a few days to be dug up. My cories usually go two-four days without feeding and they get more active hunting for food but they don't go nuts either.
