Okay I've been given the suggestion of getting a Synodontis Eupterus Catfish with my 2 firemouths and severum in my 55 gallon. Would the 2 firemouths, severum and catfish be it? Or is there anything else I can put into the tank? Personally I'd be happy with just that, I'm just wondering.

sounds to me like a happily full tank. I've seen Fire Mouths get pretty feisty though so when everyones full grown you may have territorial issues.

If you have the 2 FM and the Sev now and its peaceful, adding the cat shouldn't change that but I definately wouldn't go beyond that (and at full adult hood it may be too much)

Sounds good to me. I can't find any larger catfish like the one I want so I'm going to order online from liveaquaria.com because I've heard they are good.

What about Pictus Cats? I believe they only get 6'' and are kept in schools.

I keep 5 pictus with 2 severums and an RTB in a 75gal and ive never had a problem....this tank is more peaceful than my barb tank hands down. I dont know how available they are in your region but they are worth a look at if youhavent already.

Alright well I'm going to look for some cats this weekend. I wanted to make sure my fish and tank is stable and the ich doesn't come back.

Sevrums can get very big so think down the road when they are all full grown...you don't want to overstock...good luck witht he tank
