Well it has been 3 days since my cycling finished and my corry catfish is really enjoying swimming all over the place in the 10 gal tank. Previously he was in a small 1 gal tank while the tank finished cycling.

Well my question is will my bateria be okay? I mean when I was cycling I was adding 1 tablespoon (100 drops) of Ammonia each day. Now the old ammonia in the tank would be coming from my little corry. I can not see him alone producing that much ammonia. :D

I won't be adding another other fish until next week. I plan on getting the Corry another friend to keep him company but the 2nd corry will need to be in the 1gal tank for at least 1 week before I can place him in the 10gal tank so that leaves poor corry with the job of pooping a lot to get the bacteria happy, right?

Or am I way off base and once cycled I have nothing to worry about?

Thanks

The extra food that falls into the gravel also breaks down and feeds the bacteria in the tank along with any fish poop.
You really don't need to worry about the bacteria since the cycling has established the nitrogen cycle in your tank. Just add new fish slowly and the cycle should remain stable. :)

Thanks Nisha, Very nice tank setup!

What type of plants are those in your tank? Is that real wood?

My tank looks empty right now with only 1 plant :(

Thanks! Yup, that's mopani wood in there. I love it. :)
I have 9 different plants: Limnophila aquatica, Limnophila sessiflora, Nyphaea Lotus, Bacopa Monnieri, Cardamine lyrata, Corkscrew Vals, Althernanthera reineckii, Red Cabomba and Anubias Nana.

Make sure to add a little food to the tank everyday to ensure that your bacteria have something to feed on and you should have no worries. :)
