When doing the weekly waterchanges how exactly do you go about this. Ok I have the amount of water I require to top off the salt is mixed with it to the correct SG. Does the water have to be the same temp as the main aquarium, if so how do I go about this. is it wise to have a spare heater and mix the water a couple of days prior to the changes.
Sorry for so many questions.
Regards

Keep askin BigC, better to get it right than have to learn from your own mistake. Most people mix up salt and water in a bucket a day before the water change and add a tiny powerhead and heater to bring it up to temp and mix the salt.

Most people go about it that way but i like to do it all in one day rather than take 30mins out of two days, so 'll mix up salt in a sealed 5gal contains to correct SG then shake it around for 1min or so and then just add a heater to bring it up to temp :)

Then when i have finshed the water change i become paranoid for an hour thinking i've done something wrong  (Although with more experience i'm getting more confident and less worred :D)

Double check your params just before adding new water into the tank just incase.

A spare heater and powerhead will be useful though
Are you using refractometer or hydrometer?
