:dunno: Wondering on experience. Thinking on a dog in the near future, We just put down hardwood floor (the real kind). According to the manufacturer it's been coated 6-7 times and the very top coat is alumininum oxide. Any thoughts on how durable it will be with dog claws??

as long as you keep the dogs claws trimmed regularly (hint, if you can hear them on the floor, chances are they could use a trimming), you shouldn't have much of a problme, for the floor anyway. now the dog on the other hand, will be slipping about..........................

It's great fun (where is the evil smilie!) :*)

As the post above says - keep the claws under control (lots of walking helps avoid cutting them)

and even if it does get scratched - the beautey of wood if that you can sand it and re varnish and it'll be as good as new :)
