When I raised discus fry, they knew I was their primary feeder & water changer. My husband did both, but only sometimes. His computer was next to their tank. They seemed to understand he was almost like furniture, lol. They'd let me cup them in my hand while I held food treats. They would try any food I offered. I felt like a goddess! My husband, not so much. Of course I fed them 5-6 times/day, never the same thing twice, spoiled babies.
When I had young clown loaches next to my computer, they loved when I looked at blue background sites. It was almost like having loaches on my shoulder. The closest cave was the best 1, there was some push & shove for the optimum place. They were spoiled too & loved veggies like romaine & zucchini. If I didn't feed those at least 2 or 3 times/week they'd punch holes in cryptocorynes & give me dirty looks, really!
Now I often give our fish "treats" but not always good 1s. Husband gives flakes &/or pellets only. Now my computer is next to a tank, but some fish don't care. They just want food!! Now!! Anyone will do.
