Looking at my fighter today, I think I may have noticed some damage on his fins. I'm wondering whether this is damage, and any advice on what to do. His tank mates are all happy with him, and I don't have anything that would nip at him. My only thought is that he grazed it on some bog wood, but doubt this. All my plants are real, so plastic plants are out of the question.

Pics (best i could get):

They look fine to me. Betta's fins generally look ragged, it's part of their beauty. Keep an eye on them but I wouldn't be too concerned unless further damage is noticed.

Its hard to say from that pic. I will say he is a stunning veiltail!! Has he been flaring alot? This causes the tail to split sometimes. It doesn't look like fin rot to me. Like I said it's hard to say from those pics. But if you woud like to ship him out to me I would be happy to take a closer look and nurse him back to health :hey:.
The only thing I can say is, treat with melafix for a few days. Its safe and will help heal his tail.

Thanks for tips. Will buy some Melafix tomorrow just to be safe. Will keep a close eye on him.

If you can find bettafix get that instead. I'm not looking to start out with a debate here so no offense halfmoonbetta, but melafix can easily kill bettas if overdosed. Personally I think he looks just fine and constant clean water should heal up any tears that you may notice.
