People who advertise their tanks or what ever set a price and someone comes and tells them, oh i sold mine for such and such your price is WAY too high! as i say to people that do this please contact the seller via PM if you have a problem, and if your not a serious buyer then why reply?

just wondering if this gets on your nerves too?

Smart-arses get on everyones t*ts mate....you're not alone out there -_-

This has been discussed in the Mods forum and we are still trying to figure out the best way to handle it. As in any situation, it is always best to do research before you buy anything whether that be a tank on here or a big screen TV at the local electronics store.

There is a pinned disclaimer in BSS that states: BUYERS, SELLERS AND OR SWAPPERS BEWARE. We don't want BSS threads turning into an argument as to the validity of the price of an item. Value is always set by the buyer. If they think it is worth the price asked, they will pay it. If not, they won't, pure and simple. And what a specific item is worth where I live has no bearing on what it is worth 100 miles away.

how about closing the thread to all except the seller. and making replys by PM only?

Personally I would prefer to see all discussions about the sale in the public forum only going to PM's to exchange payment/shipping.collection info.

I think a better way to stop this from happening is to give a 1 week ban to anyone that posts anything like "I got it cheaper" or "your asking to much".

That is one of the options being considered although it would have to be closed period. We don't have the ability to let the seller have access but not other members.
