just wanted to add nascar as i didnt see it. please tell who ur favorite driver is.my favorite is jeff gordon as he has no fans lol

i loved nascar but unfortunatley its not shown much in UK anymore so i havent seen it for a long time jarret was my favourite is he still in it?

BAH! Dont be hatin the roundy-round tracks!!!

What's wrong with racing where cars actually PASS ONE ANOTHER!

Anyways, yeah, I love road racing but I also enjoy Nascar (#3 & #8 )

old topic lol.

I love nascar, Tony Steuart is my favorite driver... hes had a bit of bad luck lately and dropped in the standings.

not a fan of either Formula One, or Nascar.. too boring! they all play follow my leader from flag to finish.. Touring cars is much more interesting to watch! cars actually overtake one another, and the drivers have to plan for, and manouver, around bends and corners in BOTH directions, hairpins, chicanes and hills!, or to be blunt.. SOMETHING actually happens! lol

Im pretty sure in nascar ALOT of people get passed, and their are road courses in nascar. But yes a majority of the courses are circles, but not all of them. You have to plan for whatever your racing whether it be Nascar or Gocart racing, their is always a strategy.
Sorry, Just defending my nascar.

Um, turn left, turn left, turn left and turn left doesn't hold much attraction for me, although the crashes are worth watching!!
CART and Indycars are more fun to watch on the street circuits, rallying is cool (even better in person), but F1 is the pinnacle of motorsport IMO. Now that there are a few challengers for Schumys titles its getting even better again!!

I would have to say that F1 is the pinnacle of motor racing technology. The ammount of money spent on those cars is sickening.

Yeah, NASCAR maybe doesn't sound that interesting when you realize that it is mainly 43 cars literally going around in circles but when you throw 43 of some of the best drivers in the sport on to, say, a 1/2 mile track (like Martinsville) it gets pretty damn exciting (you wanna see passing? look no further). Not to mention the restrictor plate tracks like Daytona and Talladega where the lead changes anywhere from 30-40 times in 200 laps....but yet there is no passing? Tune in to the Pepsi 400 this Saturday night (If you can). You'll see plenty of passing. And, they have road races too! This past weekend they were at Infineon Raceway (what used to be Sears Point, I hate how they changed the name, damn corporate sponsorships), and they also go to Watkin's Glen in New York.

OK, but I honestly love and thoroughly enjoy ALL motor racing. From 1/4 mile drag racing, to champ car/indy car, sprints, go carts, superbike, rally....the list goes on and on. My Girlfriend hates weekends cuz all I do is switch around the channels looking for racing on the tube (unless, of course, there is a Red Sox game on!)

I didn't say there was no passing, I just like other motorsports more!!

I'm one of the very rare people who was huge F1 fan for many years and then converted to NASCAR. Yes, F1 is the epitome of racing - It is also boring as hell. There are more lead changes in one race than F1 has in a season. "Going round in circles?" Anyone who believes that's all there is to it has no idea what they are talking about.
