1) yes my tank is cycledCould very well be dropsy... A few things though:
1) Is your tank cycled?
2) How long has your tank been running?
3) Could we see a picture of the fish?
4) What are your water parameters using a liquid test kit?
Most of us use the liquid tests because they are more accurate and they give you more tests so you dont have to buy a new one more... I would reccomend getting a liquid tests but for now to see an estimate it would be good to see your water parametersdon’t have a liquid but I do have strips
I got the ones from aquarium co op which come with 200 and 100 for the ammonia onesMost of us use the liquid tests because they are more accurate and they give you more tests so you dont have to buy a new one more... Nitrate: 25Most of us use the liquid tests because they are more accurate and they give you more tests so you dont have to buy a new one more... I would reccomend getting a liquid tests but for now to see an estimate it would be good to see your water parameters
Ive never heard of "buffer" before... Your tank params seem fine but it would be nice to see a picture to properly identify it... Although the symptoms seem like dropsy you dont want to treat him for something he doesnt haveNitrate: 25
Nitrite: 0
Hardness: 150
Buffer: 300
Ph: 8.4
Chlorine: 0
Ammonia: 0
I know that’s like really high do you want to know what’s in the tank?
I’ve lost track of your setup, but I’ve done two 75% water changes in one day with good results. My water parameters are very high and I can’t seem to lower them can anyone help?!?
I think that would be weird cause my tank has been up for over 6 monthsWater changes and live plants will help with Ammonia and Nitrates. Nitrites can be a sign that your tank isn't cycled.
I never have either that’s just what my test strips test for. Should I add some ph reducer, stresscoat etc?Ive never heard of "buffer" before...
