Does Anyone Know Why I Can Only Get Hold Of Very Small Cardinals...

i have bought 16 cardinal tetras to add to my discus tank but after ringing about 10 lfs (some not so local) i found 2 with cardinals in stock i went to both and bought from the shop with the biggest. these were still very small and have no chance of surviving with the discus yet. i went back to get some more to add to the group and they had none left and cant get anymore! so i tried the only other shop stocking them in my area and they were really tiny but i got 6 anyway...
why cant lfs get hold of any cardinal tetras anymore? before i wanted them they seemed to be everywhere....... and good sized too!

are they seasonal?

did you try natural world in syston? if you call them ask for colin as he's the manager he might be able to help
