Hi Mate,

My Apple Snails started to breed when they were about 1/2" to 3/4" in size.

Hope this helps,

Richard

i'm kinda new to breeding snails so what do they eat?????????????????????????????????????????????

Hi,

Try the link in the last message but I use Pleco Wafers. Mine seem to love them. The website in the link will give you much more info than I can.

do you know how i will know when my snails are going to have eggs???????????????

Hi,

To be honest no. I was doing some mainitenance one day removed the tank hood and found a cluster of eggs. Took me by surprise. I replaced the lid and looked a couple of days later to see if they were still there and there was another batch. I remember posting on here about them and had a lot of interest from various members. You will probably get more responses tonight when people are at home and not at work. I dont know if anyone else knows if you can tell. There is a post going around at the moment which has pics of egg clusters etc. The post is called 'Found an Apple Snail Clutch' by Lynz781. Have a look at that and you will get the right idea.

should i put my betta in with my snail or should i keep them seperate??????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

Apparently not lol. What sp. do you have, Golden Brigs?
Bettas will do ok with snails so you can keep them together. You will see them mating (if you have both sexes) and you may get eggs a few days after that. Have a look at the two apple snail species profiles in the list at the top of the forum homepage.
