Okay so I have figured out that when my fish seems to be dead when I turn on the lights, they're actually sleeping. [And startle really easy]

I was just wondering if it was normal... Because I've found an albino on a large leaf, an emerald sort of floating near driftwood, and it just keeps getting unusual...

Is this normal? They go right back to being their hyper selves.

(I added a picture of my emerald cory (Emmi) sleeping. Her nose is not touching the ground.)

That is a Brochis, not a cory. They are the same super family as corydoras though.
They can sleep in weird positions, but it could be a swim bladder issue, if the fish doesn't struggle during the day I wouldn't worry.

The substrate you have is no good for your brochis, and will lead to health problems, you need to change to sand!

As for an Id it's probably B. splenden, the most common brochis and will grow a lot larger than a corydoras, very nice fish still, I have a shoal of them with my corys :)

My corys also sleep in odd positions. They've scared me a couple of times as they look stuck and dead in my anubias plant. If you poke them or shift the plant they spring back to life. Have also noticed my BGK 'sleeping' in this plant

ive got 4 agassizi cories, who all line up next to each other facing the back of the tank with their faces right up against the glass.

odd little fishies.
