Do you need an airstone or airwall in your tank ?
Does it actually help with anything , or are they just ornamental ?
I brought one for my tank and the missus doesnt like it , need a good reason to stop her moaning at me to take it out . Moan Moan Moan
I love the look of them .

Please help silence her

I mean if you like it that much, tell her its for water agitation. So it helps increase oxygen in your water so your fish are healthier! :hey:
technically you aren't lying and if she wants to look it up, she can.

^^^What they said^^^

It's better aeration, and better aeration means happier fish.

Though I have heard that the more bubbles of oxygen in your tank, the less Co2 is produced, which isn't as good for your plants, not sure if I believe this to be completely true, or atleast, true but whether or not it actually makes any difference is what i'm sceptical about.

I'd run the air stone tbh, unless the air pump is incredibly noisy and irritating.

Moan moan moan doode I know that one.

Be honest your air curtain or stone is for looks the only oxygen that it is putting into the water is really if you have it going at a fair rate when the bubbles breaking the surface it produces movement. Like the outlet of your filter which gives you the lions share of Oxygenating your water well thats what I have been lead to believe.

BIG BUT If you like it and want to keep it then just tell her its esential just like hillmar77 said.

Good luck with it regards onebto.

That will do for nicely . Thankyou very much all of you .
It was abit noisy , but didnt realise i had it touching the side of the cupboard . So ive moved it the smallest amount and the vibrating noise has gone stopped . That plus the scientific knowledge will win my case .
Thankyou fellas
