Do You Keep Tanks On The Floor?

The pythons work fine for gravel vacuuming but waste a lot of water. I use an old fashioned syphon to remove water from my tanks and then refill with the python. Using a python on a 10 gallon tank though would be a bit of overkill. I think it would sython so fast that you wouldn't have a chance to really vacuum the gravel. You would only want to remove about 2 gallons of water and that would only take about a minute if that long. I like the idea of the wall tank. I might even look into doing that in my home office.

I currently have my two 10gallons on the floor. Both are holding fish temporarily, however everything is fine. I have them sitting on a towel. And to do water changes I use like a Taco Bell cup or something big like those. Like a 32oz. cup. It works just fine. It really isn't that much harder or more work either, it's about the same. However you can sit on the floor so you can relax while doing it..haha! Instead of standing the whole time siphoning!! :fun:

Gravel vacs would be a problem. Would it be possible to take the two bettas out and put them in seperate containers for a big, stir up the gravel and then do like a 80% water change every 2 weeks or so?
