I personally buy mine at first and then, if a branch is well developed and begins growing roots, I purposely trim it off and tie it down it the tank GENTLY. Then, that grows like beans with magic dust and a couple of weeks later, a brand new, BIG, plant is born
About now I get a bunch of weed for the pond and put it in the pond (where else)and then I snip bits off for me bettas....but I havent got round to it yet..
if your buying your plants make sure to check them for clear sacks with black dots in. i didnt do this and my tank was riddled with snails. also make sure to clean them to rid them of any chemicals.
I'm just really starting to get into live plants so not it's just buying. I'd really like to get some live plants for my 30 gallon just need to get the right ones so my pleco won't eat em
What kind of pleco do you have? I have a MF pair of BN plecos in my 37g. They never bothered any of my red broad leaf ludwigia, hornwort, anacharis, or vals... just my crypts.
