Occasionally.

I haven't bought FW fish b/c my lfs can order fish for me, but I have bought SW fish and equipment from:

www.aquatraders.com
www.seacrop.com
www.liveaquaria.com

I have occasionally ordered from Pet Solutions. I get a catalog through the mail, also e-mail flyers with their specials listed. Food, dry goods, equipment, books, etc. They have a lot of specials going on, I always check these out for bargains. As they are located in Ohio and I am in Indiana, delivery in many instances has been the next day  .

Most generally, though, I try to give my business to my locally owned independent fish store. These guys are a dying breed, and it gets tougher on them all the time with places like Wal-Mart and all the on-line places competing with them. If you are fortunate to have one of these shops still around, I would suggest doing all you can to help them out--if for no other reason than most of the big chain stores will not buy fish from hobbyist breeders like myself! :D

Never tried buying fish online. Some of the stuff on Aquabid sure is tempting, though. I'm sure it will happen someday....

Big Al's Online for most of my hardware. Sometimes Drs. FosterSmith.

Fish only from an LFS as I want to actually see what I'm getting.

I just received my first on-line order from Big Al's On-line. Unless there is an emergency, I don't think I'll ever buy anything but fish from the lfs. Got my second Emperor 400 for $36.99. I paid $80 for my first at the lfs. I might try That Fish Place. I got their catalog in the mail and they seem to be pretty competiive with Big Al's.

i replied sometimes (US) i have used aquabid and ebay for fish + food and a supplement from an onlie store...i have also used craigslist, i don't know if that counts though!

bump. Thanks for the feedback, all is appreciated.

I've ordered from Drfosterandsmith and Big als.

Bigals will beat any internet price as long as the rival company has the item in stock.

I also print-up Petsmart web pages, because their stores will match their online price.

I haven't ordered fish or plants online yet, but plan to when it warms up. I will probably just order plants and a few plakats from Thailand. Living in Chicago, I can get just about any fish I want from the many LFS we have.

The one in Pueblo Colorado won't. That's why I started buying all of my fish hardware online from Big Al's or that Pet Place.

While my say doesn't really matter since I'm a candian. I find it kinda funny that alot of americans use Big Al's
Big Al's, ‘The Aquatic Mail Order Specialist’, was originally launched as a division of Aquarium Services Ltd., Canada's largest aquarium retail chain.
as I quickly read through the replies it seems like the most popular site americans order from...
