Do we need a poll forum?

If there have to be polls, surely it is better to have them in the area in which they are relevent. If all the polls are together, then you need to open them all to see if it is something you are interested/have a view on.

I would think people would get fed up with opening polls they just "No vote" on and would stop bothering visiting the "Polls" forum after a while.

The reason I think a forum for polls would be a good plan is because there's nothing to stop somebody from making ten new polls per day and often the threads where people are actually trying to discuss their fish get buried to the second or third page within hours, before people in other time zones even have a chance to look at them!! Those members who enjoy voting in polls and seeing what others' opinions are like in comparison to their own will still visit the poll forum; those who aren't interested in polls needn't go there.

Yes, I am one of the mega pollers (Just nice to see what people around the world think).

And i'm sure some of the "Anti-pollers" would sneak in there once in a while if the bad polls weren't clogging up the discussion boards Maybe appreciate them a little more.. I've never posted a poll here as i'm not sure how effective they are in the threads.. A more concentrated effort might produce better results.. Whats the general rule on polls? 1 or 2 polls per 20 threads?
