Do Panthers Exist

Panther is just a name people dub a big cat...

Like Mountain lions are called Cougars, and puma's in different parts of the country... along with Bigfoot, Saskwatch (sp?) and Yeti..

They can call it a panther but it isnt exactly what it is... its just a black variation of a leopard or Jaguar.. there is no such thing as solid black, there are still spots.

As far as i know, panthers do exist, and are a separate species to leopards, jaguars etc.

Edit - Ok, just looked up your references, and my previous answer proved the misconception. I stand corrected. A panther is the genus, and the cat is called a panther if it is black!
