I've been told that they do but I've seen a lot of people online saying that when their Kirbs paired up they bullied everything else to death. So which is it, do they do well in community aquariums or will they kill everything else when they pair up? I was thinking of keeping a pair of them in a 350 litre tank with some green fire tetra and harlequin rasbora if they do, do well in communites.

I've got some in my community tank, the only time there is any aggression is when they have laid eggs, but the other fish seem to learn to stay away from that corner of the tank pretty quick. Just before I posted this I noticed another batch of Krib youngsters popping out of their cave.

I made the mistake of getting a pair in my community and they wiped out half my stock including a large angel fish any time they had fry, so i wouldn't advise them for a community tank

Depends on the individuals. If they are a particular grumpy pair then the other fish will feel their anger, if they're not too aggressive then the other fish will be fine. There's not alot they won't tackle when they have fry, which to be honest, is totally understandable.

The best thing to do is to make sure there are a number of caves and retreats in one corner so that they can be on one side of the tank which will at least let the other fish distance themselves.

I have breeding kribs in my community tank, they are fine with my other fish which include Corys, Bolivian Rams and a couple of SAE's. No midwater fish at the moment, cant decide what to get. :X (4 foot, 240 litre)

I have a breading pair in my community tank with angels, discus, barbs, and pictus cats. they have been in there for a while and seem to be fine. I would put in plenty of caves though
