I am considering buying an additional internal filter for two reasons,
1. I am conscious that my stocking level may be too high2. I have a dead spot in one corner of the tank. This does however make cleaning easier as all the crud builds up here
I currently have an Aquael unifilter 750 flowing diagonally from one end to the other at about two thirds up the water column, and a mini filter with outlet just below the surface to get good water agitation. The mini filter goes into the fry tank when required. Do you think I should get a second aquael 750 to place at the other end of the tank to increase filtration (and theoretical stocking level), and the flow.

How big is your tank, i have a Aquael 1000 and mine filters up to 70 gallon, so i'd imagine that a 750 would filter up to around 50 gallon.

Ive got a 50 gallon using a filter that can filter a 70 gallon, i always try to get a more powerful filter for the tank.

Thanks for the advice. Figures are in my signature, but in summary tanks size is 200 litres with 1000 lph combined filtering

You could add another powerhead to circulate the water more?

What is the ideal water turn round per hour in a community tank?

Your filter should be turning around 4 times your tanks' capacity within 60 minutes..IE; it should fill your tank 4 times in an hour, if there is any way you can do this, then try it out..before i set my tank up i done it out the back with just the tank and filter, although bear in mind that the media insode your filter will, and does, slow down the flow of filtration considerably.

I am still concerned I am not getting enough flow to all areas of the tank, do you think I should get a Powerhead to take out the deadspots
