Hi everyone,

I have a 37 gal tank with an Eclipse 3 hood that has both the standard
carbon filter and a biowheel filter system. Would it be a good idea to buy
a sponge filter as an addition?

The biowheel is supposed to allow bacteria to form within it and from what
I've read, the sponge filter does that too. Will the sponge filter conflict with the biowheel?

Thanks! :)

Actually, I think that's a really good idea. You can't really have too much filtration.

Absolutely the more filters you have the more breeding grounds there are for the great bacteria. Therefore it would be a great idea Like anna said. :D
