Do I Have Room For Rams - Now With Videos!

The best way to tell with them I believe is by their dorsal fins. The males have one or two at the front which are higher than the rest, where the female are a gradual curve, if you get me? I think the anal fin is pointier too.

well, the blue rams require very low ph, and some of his stocking does too, but the current stocking can handle higher ph's and german blues cant. plus german blues need high tempurature too.

i would suggest bolivians.

I have 2 pair of blue rams in a pH of 7.6 and a temp of 24-25. They have been there for 18 months and have thrived, so I'm afraid I can't agree.

It is essential that blue rams are kept in the below parameters:

Temp 28-32oC
PH 5-6.6

For saying they've survived so far you must be lucky, they generally don't last very long when kept outside ideal parameters.

But clearly it isn't essential is it?

Are these healthy fish or not?

Judging by those pictures the stomach look sunken for rams, they should be really plump, keeping them outside those parameters will leave them susceptible to all sorts.

Are you blind, sunken stomaches????? Seems to me you're just trying to justify your assertions, or are you mistaking blue rams with balloon rams?
