Do I Have A Dud Sae?

I got what I am pretty sure is a true SAE but now I think it's something different. Because this guy is not peaceful I have seen him chase other fish. He does not set algae.

Here is the fish in question.


These are the fish it can be.
Crossocheilus atrilimes
Crossocheilus langei
Crossocheilus nigriloba

All look like the so called SAE but are not.

that is a true SAE - the black band extends through the tail and along the body it has a "hatched" pattern rather than completely smooth line.

They don't usually chase other fish but they will eat normal food if available. The juveniles should eat plenty of algae, maybe try feeding a bit less to encourage them to eat algae rather than fish food? Mine continually scour the tank foraging for algae.
 
This guy loves to chase the smaller fish like tetras. He gets a little crazy when foods around. Going after fish that get in his way. This is not at all what I thought the SAE would be like. Once he gets bigger he is going in the 100 gal with my big cichlids.
