do fish sleep

ive got 4 guppys in my tank. i just walked in and the room had been in darkness and when i turned on the lights all for the fish were at the bottom not moving, looking like they were dead, that worried me abit so i put some food in and up they came to the top and now they are swimming about normally. do fish sleep?

Yes fish sleep. I think my fish sleep during the day time than at nite. Because I sit up all nite and watch tv. And I sleep during the day and I have noticed that my fish dont move much at all during the daytime..
