Do Dwarf Frogs Stay In Water?

ive been told that they can climb out of the tank up power cords and ive been told that some one found his on his carpet. :shifty:   :hyper:   :shout:   :good:

How big is your tank? As a general rule of thumb you could have around six in 10gal. tank.

It would pay to have no gaps that a frog could crawl through. Although fully aquatic, in the wild they will leave their pond/puddle to seek another if conditions do not suit them. This could be water condition, temperature, lack of the right food, or whatever. Be warned, they do not last long on a dry carpet..!

Trust me, you wont regret buying them. :)

They're awesome critters! Just remember to buy little pellets to drop down.

My frogs had to learn how to get the flaoting bloodworms :#

Also, note that feeding ADFs strictly bloodworms may not be a good idea. It's good as a general rule to mix it up a bit. Mine get fed primarily tubifex worms, and occasionally get bloodworms, and very seldom I will drop in a ReptoMin stick broken into small pieces and let them have at that. :D I love my ADFs. They're so fun to watch. I hope you enjoy them!!

Well, ive got frozen bloodworm to drop in, catfish pellets, other things and i can buy some repto food from P@H. Anyone got any idea where i can get some ADF's online that dont have extremely high £15 P&P?

Awesome! I love these guys, I used to keep two dwarfs and 4 albinos. They're so rewarding, you won't regret getting them :)

You could try going to pets at home rather than ordering them, they've always had them when I've been in.

They're often kept in the same tank as Corys at P@H, any of them with a large aquatic section should have them :)

As a general rule of thumb i now avoid buying anything from P@H. My most recent purchase of 2 cherry gouramis (i think thats what they are called) and a little frog was disasterous. Frog was dead within a week, followed closely by one of the gouramis and the remaining gourami is now orange instead of red (can only presume fish dying) and is starting to turn black on his underside.

And thinking back over the years, none of the fish i have purchased from there have lasted particularly long. Fish i got from another aquatics shop are still going strong after a year!

if you buy a fish from P@H and it dies within a week, you get a full refund, after a water test!!!!!!!!!!!!! I find pets @ home, OK for stock, its A5 Aquatics that have the really bad stuff around here!
