Hi, I have some black neons and a big current in my tank, and it seems like my black neons aretrying to swim against the current. So they're always facing one direction trying to swim agains the current. Do black neons like a big current or is it stressing them out having to constantly swim?

How strong is the current exactly?

Chances are that if it's reasonable, ie. 5-10x turnover and they are new to the tank then they just need to adjust.
Bear in mind if they're from your lfs, they're not used to any current at all really. So many fish from your lfs will be rather unfit.

 How exactly do you test the current level? They're new to the tank.

P.S. Thanks for fast reply.

Well I have an Eheim Pro 2 2026 on my 125l tank.

It has a pump output of 960 l/h
And a filter circulation of 650 l/h

So it has a 650/125 x circulation. I.e. 5.2x turnover

Because your filter normally doesn't circulate anywhere near as much as the pump says it will. Hope that makes sense.

Well, I get it, but I don't know where to find the pump output or circulation. The filter was made for a ten gallon tank, and that's what I have, so I guess it would be fine, right?(If you find the pump output or filter circulation on the box, I don't have the box x.x)

If it was made for a 10 gal then yes it'll be absolutely fine. And is probably giving you more like 2-3x circulation

Okay, thank you. I guess they just like to swim in that particular spot then.
