Do chinese algae eaters also eat moss?
I am gonna put in some taiwan and java moss on monday but afraid that algae eater might eat them.

If anyone know anything about it, please let me know.

Thanks

Most wont, like ottos, snails and shrimp. I have American flag fish that eat fine leaved plants like egeria. Never had a SAE so cant comment on them.

most bottom feeders will eat anything if they are hungry. when I only had two apple snails my plants were safe. As soon as I got up to six my plants disapeared (and the original two started eating them as well!) Fish (and snails) adapt to whtever is available pretty much, the breakdown of how individual species behave is just generalisation.

my sae eats my moss balls.. but they are technically algae. Its only nibbling on the slightly ragged one. He just gives the others a short back and sides!

my flying fox ate all the leaves from the java moss... :(

CHinese algae eater likes to attack slow moving fishes to eat the slime fromt their body and caused injury and death.
