Diy Python Flow?

Made my python today, but i cant get the flow

the tank itself is higher, but down at the stan is slighlty lower, iv tried messing with the taps flow but does not start properly?

to get it to flow just turn the tap on so water go;s into the tank , do this until you here no more bubbles in the water then take the hose of the taps the water will flow. My tank is higher than my sink but it go's down to the floor then it go's up into the sink
