Diy Co2 Cartridge

I've just possibly made a bit of a boob and purchased a JBL Easy 1, but without CO2 cylinder (seller could not post them).
Looking about it seems that an empty replacement is a minimum of £30 plus the cost of refill - is there any other options out there to make this work?

2kg cost about £25, (ebay) then only cost a few pound to refill them

disposable welding cylinder + mini regulator = £20 or less.

Managed to source the cartridges for not a lot of monyy, so will see how long they last and may have to revisit this depending...
