I'm planning on building a DIY CO2 generator using a 15 liter carboy and brewer's yeast for my 300 liter (80 gallon) tank. However much of the research I've been doing seems to indicate DIY CO2 systems for tanks over 50 gallons are not so effecient.

The DIY aspect appeals to the little engineer in me but if a commercial pressurized system is going to be significantly better than I should probably go that route. Opinions?

DIY shouldnt be used on tanks over 20gallons IMO.

pressurized is defiantley the way to go, for a cheap option, see the 2 guides about fire extinghuishers (in my sig) costs £80 including a 2kg FE!
