Distichodus Affinis. Does Anyone Else Have One?

am i the only person on the planet to have one of these?? it took 4 years of owning this fish to finally find out what it was (some lovely person in the forum id'ed for me!) and i never see them in fish stores or hear p[eople talk about theirs. mine is gorgeous although scared of his own shadow!! does anyone else have one??

I had a D. Sexfaciatus for awhile. The get huge and devour plants. I've seen D. Affinis in LFS before for under $10. If I didn't like my plants so much I'd have one.

We occasionally stock Distichodus lusosso, they are similar to the D. Sexfaciatus but have much more extended mouths,

From your description though your species has a very different temperament to that of the lusosso we sell, the ones we get in are very territorial and always seem to be in full view of anyone walking past the tank.

he has a great temperament, but if he goes off on one everything and everyone in the tank goes flying!!!! i find lettuce keeps him happy as i used to buy real plants and they lasted about 5 mins!!
