hey guys,

what is the minumum temp discus like to be kept at??

what other fish do you think are suitable to go with discus??

well mate welcome to the forums

i think the most most minimum temp discuss can be kept at is 28 degrees, and probably max 32 degrees but 30 is perfect.
other fish would be cardinals, rummy nose, angel fish, clown loaches etc.

and all the Cory doras.

I disagree, many corys will perish in 30C temps. for prolonged durations.

I agree with meguro; a discus tank is usually too warm for most corys. However, the beautiful C. sterbai is an exception and is often kept successfully with discus.

Hey Hazza,

30 degrees is the perfect temp for Discus to be kept at.

Our Discus are kept at 28-29 degrees. This is because we have Cherry Shrimp which wouldn't tollerate the Discus's prefered 30 degrees.

Discuss will tollerate most tank mates, but be certain that any new members to your tank are comletely peaceful. Our Discuss love our Black ghoast knife fish.

We also keep Cory Sterbai with our Discuss and there perfectly happy at the 28-29 degree its set at.
