For a start your tank is on the small size for discus they ideally need 55g but there are quite a lot of people keeping them in 180+ litre tanks.

Are you planning on buying adults or juveniles?

They like/have to be kept in groups of at least 5 when they are young and need ideally daily waterchanges of at least 25% and 4-6 feeds a day for ideal growth. Adults you can get away with twice weekly waterchanges and twice daily feeds.

What are your water conditions like hard soft? discus prefer soft water but local breeders may have them acclimatised to the local tap water, ideally you should use filtered water but I personally use aged tap water. Discus require high temperatures for their immune system to function properly a temperature of at least 28oC for adults and30oC for juveniles is requred.

Are you wanting tank mates to go with the discus? personally your tank is too small but tank mates should be able to tolerate the high temperatures such as cardinals, rummy noses, some species of corydoras etc.
