Discus Gender

Why are you unable to get more than 2 Discus, cost, tank size..? If it's cost then it would probably work out more to buy a (breeding) pair than to get 4/5 discus. If I recall the cheapest Discus at my LFS were £20 each and the Breeding Pair they had were selling for £120+. I think my LFS stocks Dutch bred Discus though... which may affect the cost?

Tank size, money isn't an issue. The ones i'm gettin are £160 for both

Pairs are fun and no need to worry about fry if you have other fish in the tank. Even a few tetras will slowly pick off the fry. It's fun to watch the discus pair do their thing you will enjoy them. I have a pair that spawn now and then the eggs never last longs.

I will definately enjoy them!! Thanks for the post :good:

When i put the discus in, should i literally just leave them to do what they have to do, or something else?? Due to tanks size i will have to have a pair, but as i have previously stated i am not interested in them breeding, they're just 4 display. If there is any fry that survive the 'egg stage' shall i take them out and give them to my lfs or should i leave them aswell?? Thanks in advance, Alex :good:
