Hi, i'm new. Ive been reading this forum for a while but never registered. I do have a question for my first post though.
I have 4 discus (with a few other small misc fish) in a 90 gal tank. For some reason 3 of my discus keep fine nipping at one of the others.
3 of them are from the same breed and 1 was added about 4 months before the others. The weird thing is the 1 that is getting beat up is from the same breed as the other 2. So bassicly I added 3 baby discus in, 2 of them went after their brother/sister and the older larger discus joined in too. I added the discus into a smaller 5 gal tank to allow it to recover. After 3 months or so, he had doubled in size and made a full healthy recovery. I recently added it back in the with others (2 from the same parents and the older 1), I can't understand why but they are still beating it up. They nip at fins and rip them off.
I was thinking maybe those 3 are females and the other 1 is a male, or maybe the other way around?
Please help!
Will
