OH !! should i go ahead with my water change
tomorrow or should i leave it a day extra to keep stress to a minimum?

Kip

I doubt a drop of one degree will make much of a difference - the lack of water movement may, but I would just go ahead as normal :good:

If the temperature only drops a degree or two then you should just leave it be, and not try to warm it up quickly with water bottles. A slight temperature fluctuation doesn't affect the fish, corals or inverts and going from 26 to 25C is nothing.

Keep the feeding down for the next couple of weeks and monitor the ammonia and nitrite levels. If you minimise the food input there shouldn't be any rise in these levels. However, if you feed the tank heavily you might get an ammonia spike/ reading.

Increase aeration/ surface turbulence. The more oxygen in the water the faster everything will recover, including the filter bacteria if that suffered during the power failure.

HI

KIP your lucky i was a way on holiday and i asked my next door neighbour to watch my fish for me and do a waterchange as he keeps tropical fish and he gose and dose the water change and spills water on the electrics and i only had the one saltwater tank then and he came in to feed them every 3 days and all my fish had died

Hi folks and thanks fer the advice and help!
