Disappointing Fish?

Off topic slightly, but one of my bettas is actually doing something tonight :hyper: There are 4 amano shrimp in their divided tank, and all 4 of them had somehow ended up on George's side of the tank. I netted two and put them in with Terry. And Terry went beserk, trying to chase them all around  He obviously thought they were his dinner. I will have to keep an eye on the situation, maybe all 4 will have to stay with George again. I wonder if they climbed the divider on purpose before?

pristella tetras and harlequin rasboras, they just don't do much of anything. It wasn't until I got the zebra danios that the other fish would even swim much despite having plenty of plant coverage. If I had it to do over, I'd just stock with the danios, they're kind of fun to watch zipping around and showing off for each other. They don't come close to comparing with the mbunas' personalities, but interesting all the same.

Male platys.

I don't mind fish being boring ... it takes all sorts, after all.
Female platys are fine ... but the boys are a complete pain. They think of nothing but sex, with food as a poor second.

I separated the boys from the girls ... to stop being over-run with baby platys ... and the boys then tried to have sex with each other all the time. They were always stressed and always coming down with something or other, as a result. I only have two left now (they still fight - even in a 300 litre tank) ... and I won't be getting any more!

pygmy cories I bought are a big disappointment. I had a peppered cory for a while before my roommate killed off most of my fish, he was very active and curious. The pygmies I got a very shy and don't do too much... complete opposite behavior.

oh how could i forget....... bought 2 'true' upside down catfish, thought they'd be active like corys but the other way up.....WRONG!!!!!!!!! they hide under a leaf all day, every day!!! very disappointing -_-

I had 2 usd's and found them really boring too, until I got 3 more, and they're a lot more active - they're shoaling fish don't forget!

hmmm... good point. another excuse to get more fish....

My 2 corys that I always forget I have. They are in a densly planted tank and I see them once a month if I'm lucky. A lot of the time I think they died and dissappear, but they eventually pop back up again. I swear they are like ghosts, no matter how hard I try I can't find them.
