hi last week i bought 10 neon tetras now im down to 6 they just keep disappearing i think there being eatan but i didnt think my other fish would do this in the tank i have a 6"plec 5" clown loach 2 green sword tail 15 guppies and a opaline gourami would these eat my tetras ????

haha, my vote is without a doubt on the clown loach
very aggressive fish when they get to their sizes
5" clown loach could easily eat neons, i bet that the loach is responsible
but if the loach isnt the problem then the next choice has to be the gourami
hope this helps

Could also be that the Neons are dying from some other cause, and the Clown Loach and the Pleco are eating the dead off the bottom. But yeah, I am picturing a Clown Loach looking like the cat that ate the canary. :look: I would turn the tank off at night, leave a small room light on, and observe. Neons tend to go down and rest near the bottom at night, right in the feeding zone for the Clown Loach.

my bet was on the gourami hes very agresive chases all the other fish around might have to find a new home for him

Do you have a stingray filter in your tank?I lost a few neons that got stuck behind the filter.Replaced it with an Aquaball and no more missing neons.
