Hey everyone.
Well, I am having a bit of a dilemma. My mom's house is being tented for termites, and everything in the house has to be out, food, clothes, my neices crib, people and of course the animals. My dog lives at my mom's house, and since her, my sister, and my neice will be staying at my grandparents' house, there is not enough room to bring the dog. Here is the dilemma: One of my cats was an outdoor cat before we moved. Whenever I walked the dog, the cat would run. He is very afraid of him. Since we moved, the cat is now an indoor only cat. He sleeps on my bed with me every night. My dog, used to sleep with me every night, and now either sleeps on my sister's or my mom's bed. What do I do? I don't want the cat to be locked up for 2 days while the dog is here. I can't lock up the dog either. During the day, the dog would be playing with me and my girls during the day, and the cat can stay on my bed as usual, and I could close the door (he scratches when he needs to come out.) I am just afraid of what will happen at night, and I made tremendous progress with the cat (he was feral when I found him, and afraid of his own shadow.) He only just recently started to explore the rest of my apartment, and not stay under the bed all day long. I don't want him to revert back. Oh, and there is absolutley no place else for the dog to stay. Believe me we tried, and we really cannot afford to have him borded for 2 days, and we don't like to do that either. The dog is afraid of the vets.
