Hi,

I dont know if anyone will have any ideas but i thought it was worth a try!

I have a Kodak CX7430, which i've had about 18months and its always been great. About 5 months ago the button to scroll down broke, so 3 months ago we sent it away to be repaired. It had to go to Germany, so was over 2 months before we got it back.

The down button now works, but now we have even more problem with it! The screen just goes black and white and blurry after taking a few pictures. We phoned up and they said it was the batteries, so i bought some more, it still did it so we sent it off! After another 2 months they sent it back saying there was no fault :/ It worked fine for a while, with the set of batteries it came back with (which we sent off) but once i put new ones in its done the blurry screen. I've tried 3 different sets of batteries and it wont work with any.

I've just got off the phoen with the guy at the repair place and he was so rude, basically saying theres nothing wrong with it, and telling me to press buttons that weren't on it!! I dont think he knew what camera he was talking about! :grr: If we want it fixed, we have to send it to Germany AGAIN!!

Its out of the original warranty now, so is on the warranty for the "repairs" so we cant have it done anywhere else (theres no where in the UK that does Kodak's apparently!) so we're stuck having to put up with these rude people. I cant work out whats wrong with it, its always worked fine for me, until we sent it off.

Does anyone have any idea whats wrong? The batteries are 2500 mAh so should work fine -_-

Anyone?

Its nothing to do with the batteries at all, I am wondering if the screen problem is caused by something at the repairers end...heat and condensation may cause this and if it was dropped in between transit. I would suggest maybe...just incase....leting it dry out...and then see...just to cover that option...thenif no luck, try giving it a good clean with a cloth and blower but be careful.

To be honest, and I dont mean this funny, but Kodak really aren't the best Camera manufactuers, they normaly just make film and then decided to make camera's about 10 years ago...If nothing works I woudl suggest giving up and putting some money aside towards a Nikon or Canon.

I only know all this by working in Photographic sales and actually been a specialst in this area.

Ler me know anyway.
