Digging? loach?

I was cleaning my tank and the scrubber got to close to my coolie loch and he burrowed into the gravel!!!


I was scared to i dug him out and he hid under a rock.

Is this normal?

Yeah Im more than sure it is...my weather loach does it all the time. He loves going under the gravel and peaking his head out.

Kuhli loaches are so much fun to watch. But they do burrow into the gravel sometimes.

How many of them do you have? They are not actually considered a schooling fish, but they do seem to do better in a small group.

My friend was gonna move away and if i did not take his tank and fish his parents were gonna flush him.

So i only have one, im very intrested in buying more (about 5 or 6)

But before i do that i have to resolve sevral issues with that fish tank he is currently in.
