Look up the Fish Doctor on youtube...he does the best explanation of salts and what kind. Even says that salt sold in fish stores recommend almost useless per gallons. That's kind of a shock as most sellers want you to use more than really needed.
He says ONLY use Epsom,or sea salt. Not table or rock or water softener salts..they all have binders in them or iodine that can be bad for fish. Epsom seems the winner to me.
Epsoms also help a fish to reduce inflammations.Anyways..take a look at it.
